A Prairie Restoration

The renovation of this classic prairie style house inspired me to use many green elements.  The new kitchen boasts energy star appliances, Ceasarstone quartz composite countertops, re-purposed antique cabinets, a low flow faucet, and custom cabinets built locally with FSC certified wood.  The bathrooms have Kohler low flow faucets, dual flush toilets, and electric heat mats. New insulation was blown in. All the windows were replaced with high quality Marvin and cement siding took the place of the disintegrating cedar shakes. An added master suite and a garage, completed the home and provided the additional 500 square feet needed to make it completely functional and efficient for the three family members.
