An Italianate Revival

Built in 1910, this Italianate home in downtown Madison had seen a series of unfortunate transformations. Most notably, were the circa 1980 remodels of the first floor kitchen and the second floor bathrooms. The design challenge was to design both floors with the intent to bring back some if the homes original charm while incorporating some of the important amenities that make it a functional home for a busy professional of today. In addition, the client wanted a single car attached garage and a sun room in the back. The renderings reflect and integrated garage, an open space plan on the first floor with a kitchen meant for cooking and socializing and a traditional second bathroom.

Due to zoning restrictions, the project has yet to be approved for construction.
